In the five years 2009-2013, B.C. Pavilion Corporation, the provincial operator of BC Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre, accumulated deficits totaling $234,178,000 before public contributions (Source: Pavco audited financial statements).
During those same five years, the five highest paid executives of Pavco shared $6,416,446 in bonuses and other non-salary remuneration.
As noted previously, these are the managers responsible for the western world's least cost effective public sports arena and the most expensive public convention space in North America.
Nice work, if you can get it.

and we know how to get this work right? .......just make a few contributions to a political party
ReplyDeleteOr, know where the Liberal's skeletons are hidden. A little blackmail worked in the executive suites of BC Rail and BC Ferries.
Deletemust be nice work if you can get it. With a debt load like that you'd think they'd scrape the whole thing. In the meantime, B.C.'s children have had to live with the highest rate of child poverty in Canada for 9 out of 10 yrs. Way to go lieberals.
ReplyDeleteI have little doubt that at some point some cannibalistic viper ("I never was a Liberal supporter I just bowed, scraped and swallowed for the bucks") who feels slighted by the thugs will open the cupboard doors in one final act of vengeance, and the airship Clarkenburg will go down in a massive display of flame.

Just in passing, what did Haakstad get for taking the fall she took?
