After taking the weekend off, the Globe and Mail's western bureau came to life. Justine Hunter, reporting John Horgan's suggestion the award process was rigged, wrote:
"... Order of B.C. selections rarely elicit controversy but there was little enthusiasm on Tuesday to defend the appointment.Ms. Hunter notes that Christy Clark is struggling to rebuild B.C .Liberal fortunes in the wake of Campbell’s leadership. I suggest that, whenever Campbell's cronies seek further awards and rewards, the current Premier should pull out a full sized version of this Gerry Hummel cartoon:.
"Mr. Barisoff, a Liberal MLA who served for 15 years under Mr. Campbell’s leadership as party leader and later as premier, is part of the committee, but he referred questions to Chief Justice Finch. A spokesman for Mr. Campbell’s successor, Premier Christy Clark, also deferred to the Chief Justice, who did not respond to media inquiries Tuesday. Barbara Steele, who is a member of the Order of B.C. Advisory Council as a president of the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, also declined comment on the issue when contacted by The Globe and Mail..."
Perhaps you good folks at The Common Sense Canadian could forward a copy of this drawing to the Premier's office. I don't think many BC Liberals enjoy reading your website.

ReplyDeleteNor will he Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or any other day.
I notice the MSM spin on granting the Ordure of BC to Campbell is changing slightly. The message now seems to be that it was granted to him TOO SOON, while the proles were still riled up about the HST. Not whether he DESERVED to receive it, or whether the choice of some of the other recipients reeked of cronyism, folks - the problem is now the way it was introduced.
ReplyDeleteIt's a classic PR move - deflect, erect straw men, throw out red herrings. We saw the same strategy with the HST. It's so disingenuous it makes me want to puke.
Here is the real story folks:
ReplyDeleteGordo wanted the Order (Odor) of BC to wear in his shiny new job in London, when he meets the Queen.
Dobell, Aquilini, and Emmerson, wanted their before the stench of their dubious contributions to BC raise the ire of the electorate.
In BC being a Liberal or supporting a Liberal is all the accreditation one needs to win an OBC.
Every morsel of information on, the corrupt and evil Gordon Campbell, goes directly to contacts in England.
ReplyDeleteThe Brits already don't like Harper, for his false statements on the dirty tar sands. That is Campbell's priority, to con Europe into accepting the dirty crud.
That Campbell works for Harper, and he crapped all over his own citizens, is already known in Britain. There are two M.P's in prison in England, for doing a hell of a lot less, than Harper and Campbell have done.
The Brits already know about the Odure of BC award for Campbell. That Campbell has the dirtiest and most foul political record, in the history of this country. That is shocking to them, that someone as dirty as Campbell, deserves the OBC award.
Many country's are very aware of the crap, going on in Canada. There are articles in foreign country's media's. Canada is no longer thought, a democratic country. That, BC is the most corrupt province in Canada, because of Campbell, is well known.
